Welcome to Big Creek!

Big Creek’s main campus will feel like home during your mission week.

We can host up to 175 volunteers plus our resident staff family who live onsite, eat with you, and serve alongside you. You won’t just “attend” this mission… you’ll become part of our community.

Just because the campus is large doesn’t mean you’ll lose the family atmosphere. Our staff live onsite with you, which means we share the everyday parts of the week too.  We share breakfast early in the morning, dinner around the table, sweet tea, good conversations, and winding down late in the day. Those little moments are often where relationships are built. Even with a full campus, we want Big Creek to feel less like a "facility" and more like a home you’re sharing with us for the week.

In the summer, our campus is full of energy and activity. Typically, we're at full capacity.
In the spring and fall, things are quieter, giving your group an intimate experience and a little more space to spread out.

We work hard to provide a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.  We want it to be the kind of place you can actually rest after a day of serving. And yes… your team helps us keep it that way! Everyone pitches in with simple daily responsibilities like dishes, sweeping, and bathroom rotation. It’s part of being a community together — not just visitors in someone else’s building. Oh, and one more thing... we don’t mask smells with air fresheners: we strive to keep things truly clean. No stinky Fabuloso cleaners here!

Because of our location, your team may travel up to 30 miles to reach service sites. We are perfectly positioned to serve three counties, allowing us to reach families who are often overlooked.

A Little History

This campus is the heart of our ministry.
Before Big Creek Elementary closed in 2007, volunteer groups were already coming here to serve each summer. When the school shut down, God opened the door for Big Creek Missions to make it a permanent home.

In February 2008, we began a top-to-bottom renovation — and we’re still improving the facility with the help of incredible volunteers like you. Every room, every shower, every repaired wall has a story behind it.

Many hands helped make this place a home — and we’re grateful.
